ISP Forced To Keep Spammer Online

from the this-isn't-good dept

An ISP that tried to shut down a spammer has been told by a court that they need to keep hosting the spammer. The judge made this ruling, despite over 100 email complaints from people who received the spam. The spamming company claims that their contract said they could spam so long as less than 2% of the people receiving emails complained. The ISP said that only applies to legitimate business activities – and spam isn’t legitimate.
