Tech CEOs Focused On Operations, Profitability – Not IPOs, Acquisitions

from the well,-of-course dept

Not particularly surprising to find out that tech CEOs these days are more focused on operations and profitability than IPOs. This raises a collective “well, duh” from anyone who’s looked at the IPO market lately. However, there is an additional interesting point – saying that many aren’t looking for merger partners, either. While some have thought this would be higher as companies look to consolidate to make it through the downturn, potential merger partners have depressed stock as well making mergers or acquisitions significantly more expensive and thus, less attractive.
