Are The New CEOs Any Good?

There have been a lot of high profile tech CEO hirings in the past couple of days, and people have been very critical of most of them. It seems that it’s tough to find a good tech CEO these days. With the market being the way it is, the good CEOs don’t want to take a job at a company that might just be failing no matter what. So many companies have to fall back on people who come in much lower on their list of candidates. I think, though, that there is an element of luck involved. Some of these new CEOs will survive, and despite everything that everyone’s saying about them now, in a few years, they’ll be in that list of “top CEOs” and everyone will have forgotten about how the press (who haven’t been CEO of anything) trashed them.
