Starbucks Wireless Deal In Trouble

from the it-all-sounded-good dept

Putting broadband wireless access into Starbucks locations so that customers could bring in their laptops and surf comfortably while drinking their Grande Mocha Latte (or whatever it is they serve at a Starbucks) seemed like a good idea. Of course, that would require the company providing the wireless access to actually stay in business, and there appears to be some questions about their ability to do so. Thus, Starbucks has delayed its plan for wireless access for now. Of course, they could just go out themselves and buy an airport, hook it up to a DSL connection and be ready to go themselves. Of course, that would require actual working DSL connections which are hard to come by these days.
