Press Release Insanity

from the stop-the-madness dept

Techdirt almost always refuses to print press releases (I call them “fake news”). When we first launched we used to get them all the time, but I think people learned not to bother after we just made fun of them. Here’s a good article explaining why press releases are usually awful. They’re confusing, poorly worded, and talk in circles. Beyond that, I also think they go way too far in trying to hype up their own product. I tend to ignore all adjectives in press releases.
