Is The Internet A Place?

A USA Today article questioning whether the internet is a place or not. There are a bunch of startups who are trying to get us to think about the internet as a place, and to help us get a better feel for this “place” are trying to create graphical representations of the internet. Of course, most attempts at doing so just make people feel really really lost. I think it’s a nice idea, but it requires way too big a change in the way most people actually view and use the internet.
