More Killer App Crap
from the yeah,-sure,-whatever-you-say dept
A short little article about a company that is creating a system for wireless video messaging (as if anyone needs that). The best part, though is the quote from the CEO explaining why this is the “killer app” for wireless: “The reason why multimedia messaging is going to be the first killer application is simply because people want to share the moments with others and create own content to their video messages.” Translation: we’re a killer app because we think it’s kinda cool, so of course everyone else definitely wants this sorta useless technology we’ve come up with. I’m sure the technology is cool, but don’t claim it’s the “killer app” until you have millions of customers banging down your door demanding it.
