The Next Phase Of Online Groceries

While everyone is making fun of Webvan and predicting just when they’ll finally go out of business, some smaller brick-and-mortar grocery stores are venturing online by working with some ASPs that help set them up. This appears to work well for both sets of companies. There’s low upfront costs for the grocers, and the technology companies don’t have to deal with inventory or logistics. Of course, the question still remains if any of these companies will still make enough money to be profitable businesses.
