Permission Creep – Forget Freebies Without Email Ads

from the we're-gonna-spam-you dept

Maybe I need a “desperation” topic category? Apparently the new in thing is “permission creep” when it comes to whether or not you agree to sign up for email advertisements when you sign up for free services. Many sites are now requiring that you recieve ads if you want to get their free service. However, some are doing it in questionable ways – even when people have already opted out of other advertisements. Sounds like these companies are getting desperate.
