An Open Letter To Jeff Bezos

from the this-just-isn't-working dept

An open letter from David Coursey to Jeff Bezos telling him that he thinks Amazon may be in trouble. He talks about how a lot of what’s happened can be blamed on the “get-rich-now” attitude of VCs and Wall Street but that he doesn’t see how the company can layoff people while improving customer service (Amazon’s claim). Thus, he’s afraid that the layoffs will worsen customer service, and thus make Amazon lose him (and others) as customers. I tend to agree. Amazon has always been a great customer service organization, and if they start cutting corners, I’m sure a lot of people will drop them. That’s not exactly the best way to become profitable.
