AOL May Raise Rates

Some analysts are saying they expect AOL to raise their monthly fees by $2 in the near future. While in some ways it does make sense for AOL to increase their rates (and I doubt it would hurt their subscriber levels too much), it would also look very bad in terms of them being a monopoly. As soon as the merger is over, and suddenly they’re raising prices. The question is whether or not other services would follow suit, or try to steal away AOL customers by charging less.
