Reminiscing On Failure

A couple of articles on failure. First, the Washington Post tries to figure out what caused all these failures and comes up with very little new. A combination of greed, bad business sense, bad timing, and bad luck. Then, Digital Mass has a column about the closing of Send.com (who in my mind, had some of the best of the silly dot com TV commercials). Apparently, to the writer, it was more personal since he had spent time at Send.com. His point is that it’s easy to trash all these failed dot coms, but it’s a little different when you actually know the people. Of course, there are some people I know at failed dot coms that I have no problem laughing at also…
