ISP Rot

from the pay,-but-don't-use dept

A new study has come out suggesting that a large number of people sign up with ISPs and then don’t use them. The study suggested that people sign up, and then realize they don’t really like the internet and don’t want to take the effort to cancel their account. There is a better analysis from some others at the end who point out that many people have multiple accounts or do most of their internet surfing at work, and only use their home accounts sometimes. Personally, I have a dialup account which I only use when I’m travelling.
