Stephen King Explains…

from the it's-not-that-bad... dept

Stephen King has written a colum for Time Magazine explaining his side of the story concerning his “hiatus” on finishing the online novel, The Plant. It makes me feel a bit less angry towards him, as he definitely has some good points. However, I can still see why his readers (no, I’m not one of them) are upset that he has chosen to put this book on hold. They have been paying money to him on a regular basis in the expectation that they’d be receiving a full novel in a timely fashion. I think this is a case where King didn’t clearly set the expectations of his readers up front.
