VCs at a recent conference had to rate which companies (attending the conference) were the best companies. Of course, reading the quotes, a lot of the choices were based on the “coolness” factor, rather than the chance to actually be a successful business. Most of the choices had to do with wireless, though, that could have something to do with the conference (it was about “Pervasive Computing”).
