Feeling Sympathetic Towards Out Of Work Dot Commers

from the not-happening dept

An article about how people seem to feel some sort of glee towards all the laid off dot commers rather than the sympathy they feel towards workers at a normal company that shuts down. The article suggests that it’s a combination of resentment towards the few who got rich quick, combined with not feeling a real connection with any of these websites. I think there was also the resentment towards the attitude of many who went to dot coms simply expecting to get rich in under a year (without even working very hard).
