AOL's Monopoly On Instant Messaging Not So Big

A new study suggests that AOL’s so-called monopoly on instant messaging is disappearing quickly. This doesn’t surprise me. Just about everyone I know uses Yahoo Messenger over any of the alternatives, and yet you very rarely hear about Yahoo in any of the discussions on IM. I don’t care so long as they finally figure out some way to let them all talk to each other.
