How Much Information Is Out There?

from the too-much dept

In yet another useless study, some researchers have attempted to figure out how much information we produce each year. Why do we need to know this information? We don’t. However, it does add one more page to that stack of two exabytes of information that we produce each year. Weren’t we just saying there was an infoglut problem? Two exabytes is weak. We should be able to produce significantly more than that. I think not enough people are chipping in to their daily production of useless information. Thank goodness for weblogs about people’s cats.
