One Way To Resolve Domain Disputes: Start Over

Okay, I don’t know why Techdirt has suddenly been so focused on funerals and Canadians lately, but here’s another Canadian story. Apparently, Canada is making everyone who has a .ca domain reapply for their domain. They’re basically starting over in an attempt to avoid domain disputes. The article explains the somewhat bizarre logic behind doing this and hopes (rightfully so) that no one else (such as WIPO or ICANN) get the idea to do the same thing to everyone else.
