Productopia Closing Down

Okay, this one is a bit of a surprise. Yes, it’s another dot com failure. Productopia is shutting down. Now, I’ve made fun of this site in the past, and I don’t necessarily think it was the greatest business model, but they did have an okay website, and I really thought they’d stick it out. They had good backers. Admittedly, there’s a lot of competition, but I thought they’d cut back (like most other dot coms) and get through it. I wonder if something else was going on behind the scenes.
