Major Label Experiments With File Sharing

The headline for this article got me interested by claiming a major label breaks the file trading boycott. It goes on to talk about how Capitol Records made a small deal with Aimster to promote the band Radiohead. So, I tried to figure out exactly what this “promotion” was, and it has nothing to do with actually sharing files. I think it’s quite a stretch to say this is a real file sharing breakthrough for a major label. All they did was allow Aimster to have a Radiohead skin. That’s a major step? Come on…
