HBS Reacts in Internet Time

from the good-for-them dept

A look at how Harvard Business School has reacted to all this internet craziness. It seems that they’ve been writing cases at a faster rate, and adding updates whenever possible to keep cases current. Overall, though, they seem to be relying on business fundamentals and avoiding the hype that the media is fixated on. The author of the article sounds shocked that anyone could possibly avoid the hype and actually write serious business cases. I do like the comment from one professor that there’s not much to learn from the majority of failures of dot coms. Most of them had nothing to begin with. The interesting stories are where there are real challenges and real decisions to be made.
