Click in Protest in Korea

from the new-form-of-picketing dept

Okay, this happened a few days back but I didn’t see it covered much anywhere, so I’m going to post it now. Apparently, as a form of protest a bunch of internet users in Korea went to a Korean Government web site at the same time and shut it down. To some extent it was similar to a denial of service attack, except that lots of people actually did go to visit the site. I thought this was a very interesting method of “protest” and wonder if others will pick up on it also, or if they’ll just use a simple denial of service attack.
