Looking for the Truth About Online Pedophiles

There’s no doubt that pedophiles are a scary bunch. There’s no doubt that some of them use the internet and are potentially very dangerous people. However, there’s no clear evidence as to how big a problem this is, and there is certainly potential that it has been blown way out of proportion. Though, to some extent this article reminds me of the parody article claiming that the majority of internet users are FBI agents posing as teenage girls it is a potentially serious matter. I do think it’s good that the FBI is working hard on this matter. I do occasionally get worried about them blowing it out of proportion so that people think that nearly everyone is a predator out there. However, at this time, I lean more towards the “better safe than sorry” attitude.
