Buy.com Customers Spammed

from the don't-get-mad,-get-even dept

David Gallagher writes “I got spammed at an e-mail address I had only given to Buy.com. Then I tried to figure out how this had happened. Then I wrote an article about it.” Again, I apologize for Ironminds policy of putting each article on multiple pages, but now that I know someone from there (apparently) looks at Techdirt, I’m hoping that (maybe?) they’ll change that policy (or at the very least include a “print” option that shows the whole article). As for David’s method of keeping track of email address, I used to do the same thing, but the problem was that then I had to remember each different email address I used for each site.
