Shooting Down the Dot-Com Publicist

An amusing article in Salon about dot com publicists who keep pitching stories to Salon to try to get some press coverage for their own company. It’s obvious that the editor at Salon is getting annoyed with a bunch of these. Of course… I have to wonder if Salon itself has ever used any of these tactics. Anyone have any stories of silly publicity stunts by Salon?
