The Post Office Goes Virtual

from the lots-of-plans dept

The US Postal Service is trying to upgrade themselve for the digital world, and they’ve got plenty of ideas. It looks like they’re now going to offer anyone an email address that is tied to their physical address. They also thought about letting people send packages based solely on email address (though they eventually chose not to do this). Not surprisingly, some of these ideas bring up concerns about privacy and what marketing people might do with these services.
