Wireless in the US?

from the booming-but-not-for-wireless dept

Why isn’t the US leading the world in the wireless market, as it is in virtually every other sector? Well, that’s a complex question that might have more to do with the size and mobility of US citizens and technical hurdles than a hesitancy to adopt new wireless technology. A lot of developmental activity is going on and strong wireless services will be available in most urban areas soon (the only problem is getting coverage in more rural locations). The US is lagging in wireless adoption but I hope new services will soon be offered (like Stick Networks) that will allow the US population to leapfrog existing barriers.
