Changes at the Top

from the old-school-companies dept

Some old school tech companies made management changes today. IBM named a new President and COO as well as a new vice chairman. Also, in a surprising announcement SGI named RedHat’s CFO as their new CFO. Hal Covert had only been at RedHat for 4 months, but apparently didn’t like it too much. They made it sound as if he wanted to get back to Silicon Valley (before RedHat he was at Adobe), and he wanted more of a challenge. Of coure, there are many other possible explanations as well.
