Name Your Own Price Baseball Tickets – But Not Priceline

from the uh-oh,-lawsuit-coming dept

TicketMaster and the Seattle Mariners have announced plans to test a name your own price system for selling baseball tickets to fans. This is a great idea. It’s exactly the type of model that should work for a name-your-own system, since empty seats are wasted. I’m just wondering how long it will be before Priceline sues them. Priceline still claims that they’re the only company in the world where you can “name your own price” on items.
