It seems like everyone’s focusing on improving television these days (or at least today). Here’s three separate articles about new technologies associated with television. First, an article saying that you may soon be able to get “cable television” over your DSL line. That’s pretty cool. You can just see the telephone companies saying to the cable guys: “So, you think you’re moving in on our turf, huh? Well, now we’re moving in on yours!”. Next up, for the ultra-lazy, you’ll soon be able to get caller ID on your television, so when you’re eyes are glued to the screen of the latest reality-based TV show, you won’t have to get up to answer the phone if you don’t like who’s calling. Finally, it turns out that you’re not the only one who can’t set the VCR clock correctly. If you went out and bought one of those VCR’s with the automatic clock setting signal, you may have noticed it wasn’t working. It turns out that the folks on the other end, the broadcasters who set the signal, couldn’t program it right either. So, it’s not just you.
