United Airlines Site Not Working

In this day and age it’s close to unacceptable to having your website unaccessible for an entire day if you’re a large corporation. United Airlines site was offline for most of the morning and then was replaced by a page from the Internet Travel Network. I’m confused as to how companies can let that happen. I’d assume that someone is getting yelled at about now.
