Rising Gas Prices and Priceline

If you want to be a crazy conspiracy theorist you might notice that as gas prices reach an all time high, and US Politicians start focusing on the issue Priceline finally launches their gasoline auctioning services. If I were a politician trying to figure out what was going on I’d look directly at Priceline. Of course, while Jay Walker seems to be able to create money from nothing ($1.2 billion in losses so far) I’m not convinced he can actually control the price of gas in order to make his new service look that much more appealing.
