Technology Acquisition Misses

from the they-don't-always-work dept

Apparently it’s a big surprise to the NY Times that not all technology acquisitions work out. I’m not sure where they’ve been hiding the past few years, but apparently this concept just occured to them. However, they do point out a few recent examples of where mistakes have been made. Of course, most of these are fairly recent acquisitions, and it’s not clear whether or not they’ll be real successes. There certainly have been some setbacks, but some of those acquisitions could still turn out to be valuable.
