Combining Newspapers and the Web

from the scan-this dept

The Post and Courier in South Carolina is trying to bring their newspaper close to the web, but in a very different way than most newspapers. They’re including bar codes that can be scanned to your computer, and which will point you towards more information about the article you’re reading. I think this is a very interesting, and creative idea. I’m not sure that it will work, and I think some people might find it cumbersome and confusing. However, I do think it will be interesting to see how people end up using this, and if it leads to other models that tie online and real world items closer together.
