Just add one, for an instant company
from the just-your-core-proposition dept
A lot of people have been talking about how the majority of us in the future will work for a start-up, rather than a large company. It seems that some companies in the future may only need to consist of one person and a good idea, the rest could potentially be outsourced. To me it seems fantastic that one day you could outsource virtually everything but there are of course several potential problems. Flexibility could be a serious problem once you’ve outsourced a particular function it may be difficult to change your service provider. Have any techdirt readers outsourced any of their company’s functions, if so was it successful ?

outsource?
if everyonbe works for their own startup … there won’t be aonyone to outsource things to. Everyone working for a startup is a silly concept. One person and an idea does not make a valid company … ever.
Re: outsource?
It’s already happening, there is one company (NXT) i’ve read that they worked on developing wafer thin speakers. Once they developed their product they became a licensing company. They literally dissolved all of their departments and only left the licensing department. They only deal with intellectual property rights now, with leading sound device makers. Pretty crazy, eh?
