AOL, Yahoo set their stake in Net2Phone

from the This-is-a-promising-area dept

AOL and Yahoo have taken a stake in Net2Phone, the voice over IP, company that promises to make long distance costs obsolete in the near future. I think this is a promising area, but have to say that right now it’s damn near impossible to actually use. I’ve tried several times and have found the setup and configuration far more trouble than it’s worth. Plus, the rates are only a fraction less than the 5 cents that the major telecos charge for regular land-line calls.
