Tax credit for rural areas

from the This-could-be-good-or-bad dept

A pair of U.S. Senators is expected <a href=”>to introduce legislation that will give tax credits to companies that provide high-speed Net access to rural areas. A part of me thinks this is a great idea, as it will bring the Internet to more people. Another part of me thinks this isn’t so good, as the companies that would most likely be doing this can barely set up high-speed access to the urban areas.
