CompUSA Ditches Cozone

from the that-didn't-last-long dept

Most people thought CompUSA was crazy last year when they decided to launch an internet brand, Cozone, that had nothing to do with their own brand. Turns out most people were right. CompUSA is getting rid of the Cozone site and creating a new site under the CompUSA brand. This only took them 6 months and an insane amount of money to realize what a mess they’d created.

Reason why

The reason why is they were bought out. It is by some Mexican conglomerate that among other things owns all the Sears in Mexico and South America. They bought CompUSA to get into the E-business and to get cheaper computers so they can sell them in South America..

I know because I used to have stock in CompUSA..

Anyway, CompUSA will be changing many things in the near future…
