Qualcomm Buys SnapTrack

Qualcomm is buying SnapTrack, a firm that develops GPS software for mobile devices, for $1 billion. The software will allow Qualcomm to develop phones that will support E911 services. Phones with E911 services will allow authorities to pinpoint where the callers are located and dispatch help to those locations.
