LATimes.com has Decided to Charge 20 Cents to Email Stories

from the silly-newspaper dept

eric fader writes “In the most absurd move in the online publishing industry… “LATimes.com has decided to charge 20 cents for every e-mailed copy of a story. However, there is nothing to prevent a reader from copying the text of a story on a Web page and pasting it into an e-mail without paying the fee.”

Oh, and the text that is in quotes above was copied freely from mediainfo.com…. do I owe them any money? I don’t think so!

Hello corporates within the LA Times, this will never work and I can and still copy, print, and share your articles for free. For example checkout out myspider.com…. sue me!”
