Red Hat to Buy Be?

Apparently Be’s stock shot up today after speculation that Red Hat might buy them. I’m not sure what I think about this. It would probably be good for Be, but I’m not sure about Red Hat. It might depend on what they do with it. I haven’t gone over to Slashdot yet, but I’m sure folks there are screaming about the wonderful possibility that Red Hat would then open up Be’s source.
