AOL Blocks More Instant Messaging

from the more-of-this-silly-argument dept

Once again, AOL is blocking someone’s attempt to connect to their instant messaging users. This time, AT&T (via a Tribal Voice system) was letting its users contact AIM users. AOL took only 5 hours to block them. We’ve had this argument a few times on Techdirt, and I still think it’s silly that people haven’t agreed to a single IM standard yet. I don’t want to have to have 6 different IM clients.
