AT&T Wireless Tracking Stock
from the track-this dept
AT&T has officially announced it is spinning off its wireless business into the AT&T Wireless Group. The new business will include both voice and data divisions and be will trading in the form of a tracking stock. I suspect that this stock could do well given SprintPCS’ success and the rate at which AT&T’s wireless business is growing.

If they could only get their act together
Here in the Bay area AT&T service is even worse than Sprint PCS. Lines are constantly busy or it just rings to an error message recording. AT&T has a long way to go, with a very old, out-dated network. Sprint has it’s problems, but they have, by far, the most advanced network out there.
Re: If they could only get their act together
Where is this info from? Everytime I’ve used an AT&T phone in the Bay Area I’ve been surprised at how much better it seems to work than my Sprint PCS service. Of course, it’s only been a few times… especially considering that AT&T doesn’t offer service around here.

My entire company uses AT&T phones that are registered in the New York area. We never can get through to them.
