A little money down-under

from the walk-like-a-super-heated-economy dept

It seems that the Australian government is interested in trying to woo American VC dollars. Originally, a prohibitive taxing regime prevented VC’s from considering this but after this weeks promotion of new taxing schemes by an Australian minister it seems that the present situation might change. However, the distance is still a bit of a problem. One interesting observation that I’ve noticed is that both the UK and Australia have recently been trying to restructure there taxing systems to be more in line with the valley. Whether this will work in countries with different cultures and work ethics remains to be seen.
