Kids Skip School to Start Business

from the inspired-by-the-success-of-theGlobe.com dept

A wonderful article in Wired that suggests if you’re a kid, you should day trade with your college money and start a business instead of going to school. Not that I don’t think these guys are smart and have been lucky, but the article suggests that this is easy to do and doesn’t seem to even mention the risks involved. Or, for that matter, the trickiness of actually running a business. Look for instance, at TheGlobe, who they say inspired them to start a company. Since it’s wonderful IPO, it’s been trashed, and is the standard for mockery in internet companies.
