Fairly amusing little blurb in the NYTimes about a slip of the tongue by the US Under Secretary of Commerce for the Bureau of Export Administration. Basically, he admits that their entire crypto policy is so that the US can spy on people, but then he tries to take it back. Of course, everyone is amused by this. A policitician, caught off guard, is honest! Wonders never cease.
