Story about You Bet, who recently changed their name to youbet.com (how creative) and want to be the online source for horse race betting. Interesting article in that it discusses all of the hurdles and obstacles they might face. It’s amusing how they deflect each one with a simple “that won’t happen” or “that’ll go away”. Funniest part, though was a misread on my part. The first quote starts out “As Amazon.com did for the world of books…”. And I thought it was going to end “… youbet.com wants to do for the world of bookies” but that didn’t happen. Oh well.
