Not really, in Virgina you are taxed to death. Some taxes are avoidable if you try hard enough. Like the 'personal property tax' basically because I own a car I have to pay a tax based on what the local government thinks my car is worth. I 2002 Accent with 130K miles on it is worth on the market about 10.00. But they think it is worth a lot more. Anyway if I didn't own a car I could avoid this tax. Frankly I feel it is just a shakedown, when I bought the car I paid a sales tax plus crazy 'fees' to the dmv to register said car. But Va has its hand in my pocket looking for every spare penny it can gouge out of me.
I could also avoid paying income taxes as well by not working, and all forms of property tax by being homeless. So taxes are avoidable you just have to be willing to be homeless and own nothing of value.
I think you are wrong about wrestling fans. Yes, back in the day it was pretty redneck. However, in the 90s wrestling was the in thing. WWF/E and WCW shows were top rated shows on cable TV on Monday nights. As the decade closed wrestling became less chic.
I am a life long wrestling fan, I have a college degree, work in IT, I am an MCSE, CCNA, CNA, A+ and Net+ certs (all current). I don't think I have a low IQ. I have lots of friends that are professionals and are pretty damned smart as well. So I think you should look at the current demographics from the WWE before you shoot your uneducated mouth off about what makes up a particular sub-culture of people.
I do agree that Vince is a jack ass most of the time, but don't confuse the man with the character on TV. He's taken a small regional business and made it a world wide brand. The company is worth millions, and is still a top rated show on cable TV on Monday nights. Also RAW is one of the longest running shows on TV bar none.
Now his trademark suit is a joke. Frankly all these types of suits lately make me want to puke. Every time someone comes up with something new and cool, they are hauled in to court by these trolls because they hold a patent on this or that. This whole idea of IP has become a Pandora's box.
I've been a member of Emusic since it was a flat fee for unlimited downloads. Then that changed, I bought a 19.99 m/o plan and I get 90 downloads not bad. They shifted again but I was grandfathered I kept my old plan my new plan is 50 downloads for the same 19.99 a month this is NOT a slight price increase it is like 144%!
Simply, all of you have missed it. America stopped being a producer and became a consumer. When the producer names the tune the consumer has to dance it is that simple. Want America to be strong again, lets start making things here again. Not, in China, Mexico, Canada, Tiawan, or where ever else things get made. America once had a booming steel industry not anymore, America used to manufacture the best products in the world not any more. In fact, I don't think we make anything in this nation any more. Other than a few gizmos sold in info-mercials.
Bottom line you want to have a job, then lets stop shipping jobs to other nations by the metric ton because "they" work cheaper. Lets start manufacturing things in this nation again. "Buy American" the Chevy, Ford etc say. But their cars are less American than most Honda's.
Simply the point is this until the business leaders stop selling the nation out for a quick buck nothing is going to get better.
