The halfwit could easily have ended a career and livelihood, if not for the damn victim spotting it and showing up in the comments. Sickess could be part of an explanation, but it is no excuse. This is the first time he's been caught. How many of his articles contain undetected LLM hallucinations, do you reckon?   Not surprised in the slightest given Ars Technica shills hard for any and all LLM shithousery that comes their way. Same with Berger and his Musk/SpaceX bootlicking. Edwards did know better, yet still managed to perform a partial character assassination through his abysmal decision-making. Ars' "retraction" was woefully inadequate as far as retractions/corrections go. Ars' nuking any discussion of the fuck-up in their own subscriber forum was a spectacularly good move on top of that. The journalistic integrity of Ars is dust. Not surprising considering Conde Nast holds their leashes.

  Yah. Hence the Grand Old Paedophiles' largely-successful, decades-long, crusade against education. I sincerely doubt most Trumpets are capable of parsing the language used to condemn them, at this point (if indeed they ever were, which is one hell of an assumption with those people, granted), because much of the English language has been kept hidden from them by endless redistricting and re-budgeting to concentrate what little educational resources are allowed into whiter and/or richer areas. That'll take well over a generation to fix, if it can be done. I'm not leaning optimistic.

  Oh, I'm well aware. Thing is, though, the ICE rats are fast dehumanising themselves in the eyes of pretty much everyone who ain't a racist or paedophile. The video of the girl being handcuffed and dragged into a port-a-potty by an ICE rat should've concluded with the ICE rat's summary execution. Same with the case in (iirc) Minneapolis where the ICE rats tear gassed a family to the point their infant stopped breathing. And with the case of an ICE rat SUV running a red, t-boning a civilian, followed by the rats kidnapping the driver they t-boned. Start killing them. Now.

  I want to believe

  Here's hoping it gets the numbers, but given absolutely fuck-all has been done thus far, despite a mounting death toll and reports of preventable-disease outbreaks not seen for decades, I can't see many suits caring much more today than they did yesterday, or last week. I predict it'll take said politicians seeing their own children in iron lungs, or dying of encephalitis or something, before the gravity of the shituation dawns on them. Even if the CDC suddenly reverted to doing its job tomorrow, fully staffed and showered in budget, the true consequences of that monster's actions are still going to keep developing for years, regardless. The drops in vaccination rates alone are a huge problem, and one that hasn't even 'peaked' in terms of its effects yet, at that. Unless vaccination rates magically turn around again in a real hurry, but I don't see that happening for a while, either.
